Licence

With a plan or a trial you get a personal, non-transferable right to use SayToEdit Audio on up to 3 Macs per user for as long as the plan or trial is active. Team plans cover 5 named users. You may not resell, rent out or share your licence, or try to get around the licence check.

Your content

You own your recordings, projects and exports. We claim no rights to them.

Machine-made text

Transcripts and AI suggestions are made by machine and can contain errors. The app marks the transcript as machine-made; if you publish it, say so yourself.

Røst (Danish dialect model)

The app can use the Danish speech model Røst from the CoRal project (Alvenir ApS and others) if you have the model file yourself. Røst is licensed under its own licence (AI Pubs Open RAIL-M with Alvenir’s addendum), which the app shows before Røst can be used. You may not use Røst or content made with Røst: against the law; to exploit or harm minors; to create or spread false information meant to harm others; to create or spread personal data that can be used to harm a person; to defame, harass or disparage others; in ways that harm people or groups based on their behaviour or personal characteristics or exploit vulnerabilities of a group; to discriminate against people or groups based on legally protected characteristics; to spread machine-made content without clearly saying it is machine-made; to pretend to be a human to deceive; for fully automated decisions that harm a person’s rights or create binding obligations; to imitate a person, including synthetic speech that imitates a specific person’s voice; or to infer a person’s identity or characteristics such as name, address, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, age, location, skin colour, social or political affiliation, employment or health. If you pass Røst on, the recipient must accept the same restrictions.

Open-source software and models

SayToEdit Audio includes open-source software and AI models under their own licences, among them: Whisper and whisper.cpp (MIT), 3D-Speaker CAM++ (Apache-2.0), Qwen3 (Apache-2.0), DeepFilterNet (MIT/Apache-2.0), llama.cpp (MIT), Tauri (MIT/Apache-2.0, with cssparser, selectors, dtoa-short and option-ext under MPL-2.0, used unchanged), LAME for MP3 export (LGPL 2, as a separate library you can replace), and the fonts Fraunces, Archivo Narrow and JetBrains Mono (SIL Open Font License 1.1). Changes and termination

If you break these terms, we can close your access. We may update the terms; important changes are announced in the app or by email before they take effect.
